MetroCity is an integrated township development masterplanned to transform Matang into a modern and vibrant metropolis. Covering 183 acres, the development is sited at the intersection of Jalan Matang Lama, Jalan Matang Baru, Jalan Matang and Jalan Matang-Kpg Paroh. The site is less than 5km away from the city centre of Kuching and served by a network of highways providing fast access to the CBD and the surrounding catchment areas of Satok and Petra Jaya.
MetroCity’s Commercial Precinct has established itself as a premier business and commercial hub in Kuching.
The Precinct occupies 67 acres and comprises 326 units of fully commercial shops, McDonalds and KFC Drive-Thru Restaurants, a Petronas Filling Station, a 1-Storey Fauziah Foodcourt, an iconic night market (Pasar Malam Belia N6 MetroCity) and 386 units serviced apartments with multi-storey carpark. The area also features a 1-storey neighborhood mall, home to popular brands such as Everrise, Mr DIY, Guardian Pharmacy, and Tuk-Tuk Thai Restaurant, among others.
MetroCity 2 comprises 106 acres approved for commercial development.
Current developments include the 7-acre MetroCity Events Park and MetroCity Business Park covering 8 acres.
